Enjoy hearing QSOs better, enjoy ragchewing and contest working with the MFJ-616. The MFJ-616 dramatically increases the speech energy above 500Hz where 83% of intelligibility is concentrated. Drastically reduces the speech energy below 500Hz that only contributes to only 4% of intelligibility. Amateur radio communications limits the audio to about 300 to 2700Hz. The audio band on the MFJ-616 is split into four overlapping octave ranges centred at 300, 600, 1200 and 2400Hz. Full control boost or cut of nearly 20dB gives full control of each octave range.
The MFJ-618 has all of the speech-enhancing features of the MFJ-616 and gives you separately adjustable frequency channels for your left and right ears. This lets you compensate for deficiencies in your hearing that may be dramatically different for each ear. By equalizing the frequency response of both ears, you vastly improve speech intelligibility. The Sound-Field ExpansionTM adds a 3-dimensional spatial presence that can greatly improve speech intelligibility by up to an additional 3 dB. 10Wx3Hx 6D. 12VDC or 110 VAC w/MFJ-1316, $21.95.
Tuneable peak and notch filter. Great for SSB and CW. Separate headphone and speaker connections. Tune 300 to 3000Hz. Vary bandwidth 40Hz to almost flat. 70dB notch. Operates on 9 -18V DC.
The MFJ-752C is probably the most comprehensive audio filter available today and will almost certainly improve any receiver or transceiver. Simply connect to the headphone output socket on your equipment and either plug headphones into the MFJ-752C or use it to drive an external speaker. Dual filters means even greater selectivity and flexibility. There is absolutely no ringing and the continuously variable controls allow you to set the selectivity to exactly the setting of your choice. Finally the notch filter will remove all those troublesome hetrodynes.
One of our most successful products for improving reception, particularly favoured by the CW enthusiast. Audio filters can provide very cost effective narrow bandwidth reception. Some operators actually prefer audio filtering to narrow IF filters!
